Purpose:

The building under construction will replace a previous structure that once stood in the center of the Old indian Village at lac VIeux Desert. Known commonly as "dance halls", the original building was a plce where Ojibwe people of L.V.D., and invited peoples of surrounding tribes, carried out ceremonial dances.
